No surprises here as Morton's is right out of steakhouse central casting. The surroundings are masculine and businesslike which yields metronome-like service thar is both attentive and unobtrusive. The menu is classic -- start with a Caesar, enjoy an impeccable filet and some spinach. If your companion is a consultant or an efficiency expert, they'll love it but I wouldn't exactly recommend it for an intimate rendezvous on Valentine's Day. Five stars for knowing what business they're in and doing it exceptionally well.

From the atmosphere to the dim lighting the server it was all just an amazing dinner date.. the waygu strip and lobster tail was so DELICIOUS I keep on saying that's all the steak I want from now on the lobster tail was so juicy I wish I order two of the same meals just to go home with one lol

I've had Morton's before in other cities but this time was for a work-related event. We had a set menu to pick from. The apps with decent with their tuna-bites and bread. For some of my coworkers, the salad had too much dressing but I felt like it was appropriate with good ratios of the ingredients (veggies, walnuts, cheese, cranberries). The steak was HUGE and very tender. Given its size I was worried it wouldn't be well-seasoned and overcooked. But to my surprise, it was nicely medium-rare and very flavorful. The asparagus was also cooked nicely - not too raw but not too mushy. The mashed potatoes were buttery. Only wish we got more side dishes but that might just be because of our set menu. For desserts, the cheesecake met expectations. The location itself is huge with multiple rooms in the back for larger parties or events. Staff were polite and proactively offered to-go boxes in different sizes.

Came here for lunch with a coworker and we shared the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella which came with three pieces (8/10) the mozzarella was warm which was nice! Then I ordered the Morton's steakhouse salad (8/10) which was a giant pile of romaine with 6 pieces of steak around it with sesame seeds, crispy wontons, crispy onion, carrots, bell pepper and a sesame vinaigrette. I asked for the vinaigrette on the side but they forgot so they gave us a complimentary key lime pie as I waited for them to remake it. My coworker ordered the lobster ravioli which he really enjoyed! Overall good service and a nice environment!

A very convenient mid-town NYC location we dined at Morton's on a Friday night. Morton's is 1 of 5 of my favorite steakhouses in NYC. Our reservation was after Memorial Day on a Friday night and we were surprised it was not crowded. We were seated at a very comfortable booth and it was just the two of us to celebrate our 5 year anniversary together (we noted with the reservation in Open Table). We were presented with an Anniversary menu. It's the same menu only prepared on a legal size paper that you can take with you. We started with a drink each, an Old Fashioned and a Cosmo. The Old Fashioned was perfect and filled the entire glass (I don't like a half full drink) as was the Cosmo. We enjoyed them very much. Our appetizers were the Chopped Salad and the Bacon wrapped Scallops. Loved the large Chop Salad (be sure you like Blue Cheese crumble) and the scallops were large (only 3 were served). For dinner I had the aged Strip Steak and she was served the Surf and Turf. I have to say I thought the Strip Steak would be tastier and more tender for my taste. I can't compare it to the regular cut but next time I won't order the Aged cut. She loved the Surf and Turf. The lobster was a good size and sweet tasting. Both excellently prepared. I ordered her an 8oz filet and then forgot, called the waiter about 5 minutes later to change to the Surf and Turf. Couple of surprises. 1. We were served an anniversary dessert that we did not request. It was a Molton Chocolate Cake with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream and a candle along with an anniversary photo prepared special for us by Morton's. Very nice and we were surprised! 2. When the bill came we were surprised on two fronts. We were charged for a Filet and a Lobster Tail (more $) instead of the fixed price for Surf and Turf. The waiter explained the order was already in and we were served an 8oz filet while the S&T comes with a 6oz filet (they made an adjustment to the bill). We were also charged for the dessert (that we didn't order). Although surprised we left it alone. Just a heads up to you to check your bill when presented. Will we dine again at Morton's, yes, as it wasn't the first time and won't be the last. After this visit, I'm a bit more educated and always want to support a fine establishment.

Celebrated a birthday & pre-anniversary dinner & very enjoyable experience. They had a personalized message on the menu that was wrapped up with a photo which was a memorable keepsake, We had tickets for an 800 show for a 600 dinner so the staff was very efficient & attentive to make sure we were served in a courteous and efficient manner. My husband enjoyed the baked onion soup & New York strip and I preferred the chopped house salad with Chicken Christopher. Huge portions! Deliciously prepared food. We were also Presented with a cheesecake dessert to further celebrate the occasion. Highly recommend!!

Solid Morton's right by 5th Ave and 45th (next to the Tommy Bahama's) with a tried and true menu and comfortable seating. Our server was friendly and helpful (she was quite adamant that we try dessert, which we gave into), and gave us enough space to talk without interruptions. The gigantic onion loaf was a nice welcome, as always. A few highlights: 1. The seafood tower: Definitely a must-try with crabmeat, shrimp, oysters, tuna tartare. It's a glorious sight. 2. Chopped salad: Perfectly and finely chopped with plenty of bacon, gorgonzola, tomatoes, cucumbers, and avocado 3. Filet: Get the 12 oz medium rare - it comes with a perfectly cool center. Try it with the bearnaise or steak sauce. 4. The prime ribeye: This was the highlight - perfectly seasoned, cooked, and a juicy medium rare. The flavor was perfection. Will be back to try the bone-in. 5. Cheesecake: It's more of a Basque cheesecake (round not a slice) with a caramelized sugar top. Creamy yet light. Overall, a good option in midtown with great steaks and very reasonable prices for the quality, service, and area. Will be back!

Morton's Midtown provided an exceptional experience from start to finish. Amid the Thanksgiving hustle, the staff's hospitality was remarkable. The moment we stepped through the door, we felt genuinely welcomed and attended to, setting the tone for a memorable dining adventure. Ana, our server, was the embodiment of excellence. Her charm, humor, and consistent attentiveness enhanced our meal. Kudos to her for keeping our glasses filled and the atmosphere light. A special shout-out goes to Peter, the manager, whose kindness added a personal touch to our holiday celebration. The three-course prefix menu turned our evening into a culinary journey. The Winter Green salad with spiced walnuts, the oven-roasted turkey roulade with sage and cranberry stuffing, and the delightful pumpkin cheesecake with sea salt caramel were all gastronomic triumphs. I also indulged in an additional appetizer - the lobster bisque, a decision that proved to be a delectable one. The precision in cooking was evident throughout, from the sour cream mashed potatoes to the baked corn soufflé and green beans almondine. What's remarkable is that despite the Thanksgiving rush, there was no prolonged wait for our orders. Even after our main meal, Morton's hospitality extended to our to-go order. I wanted to try the prime Cajun ribeye and I was not disappointed. The steak, cooked to perfection was a sensational. Ana's exceptional service deserves recognition - a raise, if I may suggest. Additionally, every member of the waitstaff we encountered demonstrated excellence. Regrettably, I didn't catch the bartenders' names, but they also deserve recognition, especially since we concluded our evening at the bar with a few more delightful drinks. (Seasonal sangria for me). The entire dining experience, marked by delectable dishes and impeccable service, ensures that I'll be making a return to Morton's Midtown very soon.
